Workers' Compensation Attorney
Semmes, Bowen & Semmes has an immediate opening in our Baltimore office for an associate with 2+ years' experience in Worker's Compensation and Employers' Liability. Qualified candidates must be barred in MD. Candidates that are admitted to other jurisdictions are encouraged to apply. We are looking for candidates that have insurance defense, workers' compensation and/or personal injury experience.
We offer a flexible work environment with options for hybrid and remote work. Semmes is a paperless office with personal laptops provided for attorneys.
Compensation: $90,000 to $160,000 annually including bonus
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in MD.
- Admitted to practice law in DC, PA, or DE is a plus!
- 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense law.
- Strong understanding of MD workers' compensation laws and regulations.
- Experience with employer liability claims a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Candidates should possess strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing and communication skills and have the ability to work independently.
- The position requires the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and handle a high volume of cases.
- The desired candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
